Energy / Solutions / Bridging power
Your connection is late. Your programme is not.
A delayed utility connection stops handover, not construction. Bridging power keeps the building working on temporary generation until the permanent supply is energised — sized to the real load, installed to the same standard, and removed cleanly when the meter goes live.

01You’re here because
One of these is true.
- The ADDC / DEWA / SEWA / FEWA connection has slipped and handover is at risk.
- The substation or transformer is on order with a long lead time.
- Fit-out, testing and commissioning need power before the permanent supply exists.
- Tenants or operations are moving in ahead of energisation.
- The permanent supply is energised but not yet reliable enough to depend on.
02How we deliver it
Bridging power for utility connection delays
01
Size against the permanent supply
We size the temporary set against the load the permanent connection was designed for — not against a guess — so the switchover changes nothing operationally. Send the load schedule or the approved SLD and we work from that.
02
Installed, not just delivered
Cabling, distribution, earthing, changeover arrangement and fuel provision are part of the package. The set arrives, gets connected, gets tested and carries load.
03
Built for months, not days
Bridging duty is continuous running, often for six months or more. Sets are specified for prime duty at UAE ambient, on a preventive-maintenance schedule from day one, with fuel logistics arranged so nobody on site is watching a tank level.
04
Scalable as the load grows
Fit-out load ramps as floors come online. Paralleled containerised sets let capacity be added in steps instead of over-sizing from the start and burning fuel at low load.
05
Clean exit
When the permanent supply is energised we plan the changeover, demobilise, and leave the switchroom as we found it. Off-hire is scheduled to the energisation date, not left running on the meter.
Bridging power
What clients ask.
How quickly can bridging power be running on site?
For a standard set from yard stock, mobilisation is same or next day and the set can be carrying load the same day it lands if the connection point is ready. What usually sets the timeline is not the generator — it is cabling, the changeover arrangement and access for the delivery vehicle. Tell us the connection point and we will tell you the realistic date. Can you size the generator from our approved single-line diagram?
Yes, and it is the best way to do it. From the SLD or load schedule we work out the running load, the largest starting load and the diversity, then size for the high-load case with headroom for the fit-out ramp. It avoids the two common failures: an oversized set running dirty at low load, and an undersized set that trips when a chiller starts. What happens to the rental when our permanent supply is energised?
Off-hire is planned against the energisation date. We attend the changeover, disconnect, recover the equipment and close the hire on the agreed date. For clients who want cover through the settling-in period, the set can stay on standby duty at a reduced rate rather than prime.Do you supply the fuel as well?
Yes. Scheduled bulk deliveries against consumption, bunded tank provision and top-up monitoring are available as part of the package — see fuel logistics. On long bridging jobs this is usually the difference between a working site and a 3am phone call.
