Energy / Solutions / Emergency response

It failed at 2am. Call 800-PLANT.

Emergencies do not keep office hours, and neither does the service desk. When mains fails, a set breaks down, or a facility floods, the job is to get load back on as fast as physics and traffic allow — with the cable, the distribution and the engineer arriving together.

01You’re here because

One of these is true.

  • Mains supply has failed and the standby set did not start — or there is no standby set.
  • An existing generator has broken down mid-contract and the load is off.
  • Flood, fire or storm damage has taken out switchgear or a plant room.
  • A cold store, data hall, hospital or process load is on a countdown.
  • A hire set from another supplier has failed and nobody is answering.

02How we deliver it

Emergency & breakdown power response

  • 01

    One number, answered 24/7

800-PLANT reaches the service desk at any hour, every day of the year. The first call establishes the load, the location and the connection arrangement so the right set leaves with the right cable.

  • 02

    Dispatched complete

An emergency is not the moment to discover the cable is the wrong size. Sets go out with cabling, distribution, earthing kit and connection hardware matched to what you described on the call.

  • 03

    Engineer on the truck

A technician travels with the set to connect, start, take load and stay until the load is stable — rather than a delivery driver and a phone number.

  • 04

    Bridge now, optimise later

The first priority is load back on, even if the first set is not the perfect set. Once you are running we plan the properly-sized replacement and swap it in on a scheduled changeover.

  • 05

    Diagnose the cause

If your own set failed, we can tell you why — and whether it is a repair, a service, or a set that should never have been allowed to run under-loaded for two years. Load bank testing is how that gets proven.

Emergency response

What clients ask.

  • How fast can you get a generator to site in an emergency?

Within Abu Dhabi, hours rather than days for a set in yard stock. Dubai and the Northern Emirates add transit time. The honest constraints are truck availability, traffic windows for low-loader moves, and whether your connection point is ready — we will give you a real time on the call, not an optimistic one.
  • Can you connect to our existing switchgear?

Usually yes. Tell us what the connection point is — PowerLock, camlock, busbar, bare tails, an existing changeover panel — and the set goes out with matching hardware. If the arrangement is unclear, send a photo of the panel; it saves an hour on site.
  • We hired from someone else and their set failed. Will you help?

Yes. We do not need to have supplied the original equipment to put your load back on. Once you are running we can also load-test the failed set and tell you what went wrong.
  • Is emergency hire more expensive?

Out-of-hours mobilisation and attended connection carry a callout charge; the hire rate itself is the standard rate for the set. We will state both on the call before anything moves.

We’ll tell you what it takes.

Load, location, duration and start date — that is enough for a quote within 2 working hours. Call 800-PLANT if it is urgent.
